Easier access to hygiene

WC Loc’s mission is to promote and facilitate access to hygiene for everyone.
Since disabled people are the first affected by accessibility, we have developed appropriate sanitary facility solutions for them.

Parity is also important to us: in partnership with Madame Pee, we have created female urinals that streamline access the toilets and make waiting times as fast for women as for men. General public, VIP guests, jobsite teams, etc., WC Loc is constantly innovating to offer everyone sanitary facility solutions, in all conditions.

The subject of access to hygiene is also universal: today, 60% of the world population doesn’t have toilets at home and 892 million people in the world practice open defecation and are deprived of sanitary facilities, which has devastating effects on public health, living and working conditions, nutrition, education and economic productivity. It is therefore urgent to act!

Better water management

Dry toilets and waterless urinals, recirculating flushes, etc., we are committed to offering the most ecological sanitary facility solutions.

Our equipment’s leak-resistance is checked by trained teams educated about protecting this vital resource, and we maintain this attention even in our agencies, with rainwater recovery.

Sustainable use of sanitary products

For cleaning and maintaining our cabins and other equipment, WC Loc undertakes to use only products that comply with current regulations, with biodegradability greater than 90%: for example our standard blue sanitary concentrate, whose combined action of its biocides guarantees odour control for 7 days, presents a formaldehyde-free formula, biodegradable and safe for the environment. At our events, we use the “Quick Scent Event” deodorant, also biodegradable and free of bronopol (a preservative) for a very low impact on the environment. Finally, we are careful to limit the quantities used (for example by using dissolvable pods) for an optimal balance between the effectiveness of the gesture and respect for the planet.

A limited carbon footprint

With more than 20,000 jobsites and 3,500 events to deliver every year, we have always strived to integrate our trips into our responsible approach: our routes are always optimised and made with a regularly renewed fleet, including several vehicles running on natural gas.

Constantly monitoring travel technologies, our objective is to significantly and permanently limit our consumption of diesel and CO2.

Systematic recycling of our waste

At WC Loc, we attach great importance to sorting and recovering waste: 100% recyclable cabins, workshops to repair our equipment to avoid waste, use of ECOLABEL toilet paper from recycled beverage cartons, (347 trees are saved every year), etc.

Sanitary effluents and other more sensitive waste that require special treatment are systematically redirected to a treatment plant or composting centre. At the same time, our agency staff entrusts office waste to the Elise company for recycling, and hazardous waste to our service provider, Chimirec. Each of these operations is recorded via a specific slip, then archived in a register, for a monitored and controlled green approach. We also conduct awareness-raising actions with the general public on the importance of recycling urine and saving water resources.

Reduced energy consumption

It is a fact, our energy consumption continues to decrease from year to year: renovation and evolution of our infrastructures to become ever more energy-efficient, awareness of our employees on good energy saving practices, WC Loc trailers powered by solar panels, etc.

These gestures have enabled us to go from 1.30KWh per hour worked in 2016 to 0.91KWh in 2018!

And our efforts aren’t going to stop.
