A company committed to sustainability

We believe it is essential to integrate the environmental dimension in our vision. Concerned about minimising our impact on the planet, we plan and constantly carry out our actions responsibly, in compliance with European regulatory standards, using the most ecological sanitary equipment and products possible. Our fleet of vehicles and our travel are studied to reduce our carbon footprint, and we make sure to educate our teams and the general public about recycling waste. With this eco-responsible approach, WC Loc is recognised as an approved septic tank emptier and certified ISO 9001 (for quality management) and ISO 14001 (for protection of the environment).

Beyond the environmental dimension, our commitment to society is also at stake. Consequently WC Loc has decided to join the Global Compact and has a joint management committee comprised of 4 women and 5 men. More generally, we look after our teams overall and long-term well-being.
Our mission: contribute to hygiene for everyone; everywhere.

An innovative eco-system

Innovation is an integral part of our DNA. Listening to our customers and always concerned about satisfying their needs better, we are constantly developing our products and developing new ones in our workshops: revamping our equipment to offer complete ranges capable of integrating with every type of celebration, creating an insulated water tank model, adapting our “classic” cabins and trailers with dry toilets, etc. Our expertise in the sanitary field is not limited to our services.

While we are proud to be able to stamp some of our “made in WC Loc” creations, we are also surrounded by essential manufacturing partners in the sector. Their complementary know-how lets us put our most advanced ideas into practice (for example, we have refurbished our standard jobsite cabins in a dry toilet version, created a tank adapted to this new model and equipped our vehicles so they can transport it).

Leader in our market, we also act as an incubator for young companies wishing to successfully complete their projects. Madame Pee, Ecosec, etc., all benefited from our technical, ergonomic and even sanitary emptying and cleaning expertise to launch their own innovations. Note that many of our materials (ranges of dry toilets, tanks, etc.) and those of our partners (Madame Pee, Ecosec) are made in France, to offer you the best quality.

Interview

Vincent BUHOT
Technical and Material Director

Originally, the WC Loc "Material" service was set up to carry out repairs and maintenance operations that couldn't be performed locally.

Now, in order to meet our customers' expectations, we produce specific equipment that doesn't exist on the market, in a flexible and response-driven manner. And we still have many projects to improve and develop new materials and equipment for the coming years!

A word from the President

The mission of the DLR (Federation of construction and handling equipment) is to represent, promote and defend the interests of companies in the distribution, rental and maintenance of construction and handling equipment.

Since 2018, it has included among its members the former National Union of Mobile Sanitary Professionals (SNPSM), which has now become the DLR “Sanitary and Mobile Units” Commission, that WC Loc and more than 80% of the profession in France are members of.

Hervé Montagne, WC Loc executive and elected president of the DLR “Sanitary and Mobile Units” Commission vouches for the benefits of this union

Very soon after taking over WC Loc, I initiated with other companies in the sector the creation of the SNPSM in order to change the image of “jobsite toilets”, but also those present at events. In France, there is 1 sanitary cabin for 5,000 inhabitants. It’s 1 in 500 in Germany!

Why this variance? The labour code makes it mandatory to provide employees with the necessary means so they can take care of their sanitary needs. Why would it be different on a jobsite? Also, it seems inconceivable today that festival-goers pay a certain amount and they have to queue to go to the toilet and even worse to have dirty cabins. We carried out a study on the impact of “autonomous toilets” in order to identify the comfort and hygiene that this equipment brings, but also the economical and ecological character of the rented equipment. In 2012, after 4 years of work, we managed to have Afnor publish a European standard.
We joined the DLR federation to take advantage of its expertise in terms of sector representativeness, and above all to accelerate the vigour of our actions by structuring them more. One of my ambitions is to expand our sphere of influence by welcoming new companies, especially those from sectors related to ours, as was the case in 2013 with the construction camp players. I will also boost a process to change the regulations and thus ensure that our companies offer services that are appropriate and applicable to each type of jobsite and event: short or long term, few or many people, etc.
